Everlive began with a photo that never happened.
In almost every family there is one: the grandmother who passed the winter before the baby was born; the father who never stood beside his daughter on her wedding day; the grandfather who is in every old album and none of the new ones. The people who shaped us most are missing from the pictures that get printed, framed and hung.
What we make
Everlive makes memorial portraits — hand-finished artwork built from the photos your family already has, printed and framed for the wall you walk past every day. Faded prints are restored. A loved one who has passed can be placed, naturally and respectfully, into a photo with the family that came after them. Every portrait is checked by a real artist and approved by you before it is printed.
Why a portrait, and why a page
A photo on a phone is easy to lose and easy to forget. A cemetery is somewhere you visit a few times a year. A portrait in your home is something you see every morning — and the small code in its corner opens a memorial page where the whole family adds photos, stories and messages over the years. The wall keeps them present. The page keeps them whole.
Three things we hold to
- Built together. No one person has all the photos. We make it easy for everyone in the family to add theirs, each under their own name.
- Lives where you live. The portrait belongs in the hallway, over the sofa, by the kitchen table — not in a drawer and not only online.
- Never finished. The page keeps growing. Anniversaries are remembered. Relatives who see the portrait scan it and add what only they know.
A promise about permanence
People are rightly wary of trusting memories to a website. So: everything on your memorial page can be exported at any time, we email you a full archive every year, and if Everlive ever stopped operating every family would get at least twelve months' notice and a complete download of their page. The portrait, of course, is on your wall — nobody can take that offline.
